SGGP Newspaper and GrowMax Group award scholarships to disadvantaged students in flood-hit areas of Nghe An

On October 20, Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper and GrowMax Group (Loc An - Binh Son Industrial Park, Long Thanh Commune, Dong Nai Province) organized a scholarship award ceremony to support students in difficult circumstances and affected by natural disasters in 2025 in Nghe An Province.

Attending the scholarship awarding ceremony were Journalist Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper; Mr. Dang Van Thanh, Director of the Northern Region of Growmax Group; local leaders, school leaders, teachers, parents and students.

The Central region in general, and Nghe An province in particular, has always suffered a lot of damage caused by natural disasters, storms and floods. In particular, from July 2025 to now, in Nghe An province, natural disasters, storms, floods, etc. have caused serious damage to people's lives, including students.

Understanding that situation, Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper connected and received approval from GrowMax Group to sponsor scholarships for students in areas affected by natural disasters and floods.

Accordingly, each student with difficult circumstances will be sponsored with a scholarship worth 2 million VND; each student with special difficulties will be sponsored with 2 scholarships, equivalent to 4 million VND; each student who has lost both parents will be sponsored with 3 scholarships, equivalent to 6 million VND.

On October 20, the working delegation of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper and GrowMax Group directly awarded scholarships to 20 students at Vien Thanh Primary School (Hop Minh Commune); 23 students at Dien Kim Kindergarten, Primary School and Secondary School (Hai Chau Commune); 55 students at My Son Primary School and Secondary School (Bach Ha Commune) and 8 students at Thanh Linh Primary School (Dai Dong Commune).

At the places where Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper and GrowMax Group came to present scholarships, local leaders, school leaders, teachers and students were very grateful and touched by the affection of the two units for local children.

Mr. Bui Van Hien, Principal of Dien Kim Primary School, said that the school has many situations that need help. The fact that Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper and GrowMax Group awarded scholarships to the children is a great source of encouragement, helping them overcome difficulties and rise up.

Mr. Ngo Trong Tan, Chairman of the Fatherland Front of Hai Chau commune, sent his thanks to Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper for connecting with GrowMax Group to bring meaningful gifts to the commune's disadvantaged students.
