In the trailer for episode 5 of the movie Evil Mother, Angel Father, Loc was promoted to a higher position in the company. However, he is not interested in the title and just wants to be a normal employee like now. The HR manager told Loc:

"No wife would accept her husband having a lower status and income than her." Loc disagreed, blaming this woman for suddenly threatening him with her wife.

However, the colleague's words quickly became true. When he returned home, Thang (Minh Hang) complained to Loc: "I have to work like hell, if I were just a mediocre employee like you, how could I support my family?"

Hearing his wife say that, Loc was disappointed that the woman he loved had such thoughts. Instead of arguing, he walked out in self-pity.

Previously, in episode 4, Thang and Loc met Huy Coi, an old friend of Thang, who is now the vice principal of a national standard public school. They came to find out about Tram Anh's preparation for first grade. However, Loc did not like Huy so he opposed the idea of choosing this school for his child.

Thang asked for advice from his colleagues at the company, then went with her husband to survey the public school in the right area, close to home. However, the chaotic scene at the school gate terrified them both and they decided to find a better school for their child.

When he got home, Thang was upset when he saw his sister-in-law painting Tram Anh’s nails. She did not agree to let a child paint her nails, so she scolded her. This made her mother-in-law feel offended, thinking that Thang was using this as an excuse to blame her.

Then, Thang went to Ngan's sister-in-law's house to inform her that he had made a plan for Tram Anh from now until she went to university. Thang's point of view was to apply discipline so that his daughter would be independent and self-reliant in the future. Because they were close friends before, Thang easily convinced his sister-in-law to agree with this plan.

At the company, Thang is facing Emma, an ambitious new employee who uses tricks to get promoted. Emma aims at Thang's vice president position and begins to execute her scheme.

Knowing that Thang was worried about his daughter getting into first grade, Emma lied about knowing the head of admissions at an international school and promised to help Thang's daughter get into it. In return, Thang understood and gave Emma the plan she had prepared so that Emma could present it as if it was her own idea.

The appearance of Gia Han (Jun Vu), Tan Loc's ex-lover, further complicated the situation as it pushed Tat Thang to decide to divorce her husband, whom she considered weak.

Meanwhile, Tram Anh witnessed family conflicts and decided to leave home, causing her family to panic.

The movie "Evil Mother, Angel Father" is not only a story about the stress in raising children but also lessons about family relationships, especially how to face difficulties in raising children.

Director Vu Ngoc Dang was inspired by the book Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother to create this story, reflecting situations that viewers can easily recognize in real life, thereby sending messages about family affection, misunderstandings, and challenges in marriage.
