According to Corriere dello Sport , Liverpool have set a price of €60 million for any team interested in owning the Uruguayan striker. Currently, Nunez is being pursued by two big Serie A teams, Napoli and Milan. Both clubs are looking for a quality striker for the 2025/26 season.
Earlier, Gazzetta Dello Sport said Liverpool were not willing to consider any offer under 50 million euros for Nunez. The team still hopes to recover some of the large sum they invested in the Uruguayan striker.
Nunez joined from Benfica in 2022 for a transfer fee of up to 85 million euros. However, after 143 appearances, this striker has only scored 40 goals, an achievement that does not meet the expectations of the fans at Anfield.
Napoli, who have a place in next season's Champions League, are said to have the upper hand over Milan in this race. The team has just added Kevin De Bruyne to the midfield, creating a balanced and strong squad under the leadership of Antonio Conte. This is considered an ideal and ambitious destination for Nunez.
Conversely, not participating in any European Cup next season is a big disadvantage for Milan in the race to sign this striker.
Nunez's contract at Anfield runs until June 2028.
