On the evening of May 10, the leaders of Tan Phu Secondary School (Tan Phu Ward, Dong Xoai City) confirmed that they had organized for more than 600 students to retake the second semester math test due to leaked exam questions.
Previously, on May 8, more than 600 students of 15 grade 8 classes of Tan Phu Secondary School completed the second semester math test.
However, the school later received information from parents and social media that the math test had been leaked since the evening of May 7.
Therefore, the school has notified parents and students about this incident and will re-examine on the morning of May 10 to ensure fairness for all students.
"The re-exam went smoothly, ensuring compliance with regulations," affirmed Mr. Nguyen Viet Tuyen - the school's principal.
In the notice sent to parents of grade 8 students, Mr. Tuyen wrote: "Dear parents, the 8th grade math test was adjusted and photocopied last night, and students took the test this morning.
After the students finished the test, through the parents' feedback, the school checked again and found signs of bad guys hacking information and leaking the test questions. We hope that the parents will share with the school."
According to Mr. Tuyen, the process of creating exam questions, storing them, securing them... were all carried out according to procedures, but it is unclear why the exam questions were leaked.
After re-organizing the exam for students, the school is reviewing the printing and copying process... and reporting to the police for investigation.
When the results are available, the school will notify parents as soon as possible.
