Revealed champion at national youth badminton championship

On June 15, 2025, at the Vietnam Maritime University Sports Hall, the closing ceremony of the 2025 National Youth Badminton Championship - DONEX Cup took place, concluding days of emotional, quality and dramatic competition.

After many days of intense competition, the Lam Dong youth badminton team excellently won the overall championship in the mixed team event, affirming its new position on the map of Vietnamese youth badminton.

Throughout the competition, the young players delivered eye-catching performances, giving the audience exciting and emotional matches. In particular, the Lam Dong team showed even strength in men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles - key matches that helped them rise to win the prestigious championship trophy.

Dong Nai team also left their mark with solid play, reasonable tactics and fierce fighting spirit, thereby winning the second place. Two bronze medals were awarded to Bac Giang team and the host team Hai Phong, units with many promising young players.

On June 15, the final individual matches were dramatic, demonstrating fierce competition between the units. The opening match was a narrow victory for the Bac Ninh team (Nghiem Viet Trung and Hoang Thi Ngoc Anh) against a strong opponent from Ho Chi Minh City (Dang Khanh and Kim Ngan).

Which badminton players won the title?

In the men's singles, tennis player Le Minh Son (Hai Phong) defeated Nguyen Tat Duy Loi (Lam Dong) in a thrilling match that lasted 3 sets, with a score of 2-1. In the women's singles, the unique girl Bui Bich Phuong (Hanoi) won convincingly against Kim Ngan (Ho Chi Minh City).

In the men's doubles, Minh Duy and Duy Linh (Dong Thap) easily beat Anh Minh and Duc Cuong to win the gold medal. In the women's doubles, Kim Ngan and Kim Hang (HCMC) were far ahead of Thanh Ngan and Hai Ha (Hai Phong) to win the gold medal.

This year's tournament was not only a success in terms of expertise, but also showed the even development of the youth badminton movement in the localities.

The 2025 National Youth Badminton Championship – DONEX Cup has become an important launching pad, creating opportunities for young talents to demonstrate their mettle, practice techniques, competitive mentality and aim for the professional arena.
