This rarest animal on the planet stands out with its "bulging eyes", modest height but has the ability to communicate with each other using ultrasonic frequencies that prey or predators cannot hear.
Appearing on Earth 45 million years ago and once widely distributed in many areas on Earth. Tarsier is currently facing the risk of extinction.

With its small appearance, the Tarsier is extremely rare. This tiny animal was thought to have been extinct since 1921. However, 86 years later, they once again "reappeared", surprising scientists .
In fact, we often argue whether puppies or kittens are cuter, but have you ever thought that in the animal world, there are many other animals that are equally adorable? One of them is the Tarsier, more specifically, this is also one of the smallest monkeys on Earth.

Scientists rediscovered this species of Tarsier monkey in 2008 in Indonesia and several Southeast Asian countries - the main habitat of this special primate species.
At first glance, the Tarsier monkey looks as small as a mouse - about 85 - 160mm tall, weighs 600gr with large eyes and ears. Their hind limbs are also very long, especially the metatarsal bones. Thanks to these legs, the Tarsier monkey can swing from branch to branch at night. The distance they can jump can be 40 times longer than their body length.
Thanks to their large ears, pygmy monkeys can effectively listen for movements of prey such as insects, birds, snakes or lizards.
This unique monkey species is small but "powerful" with a special ability that allows them to eavesdrop on the sounds made by their prey, from species such as crickets and cockroaches (their diet) to butterflies, elephant grasshoppers or baby birds.
Tarsier monkeys also possess thick fur to keep their bodies warm in cold and wet environments.
Instead of having fingernails and toenails like other primates, pygmy monkeys have curved claws to grip moss-covered tree trunks.
Researchers discovered that in addition to their impressively large eyes, tarsiers have five fingers, similar to humans.
Although they are nocturnal, they do not have the ability to see in the dark like other species. In return, they have the largest eyes - compared to their body size - of all primates on Earth.

The main reason this species is endangered is because its habitat is shrinking and many wild cats see it as prey to hunt. On the other hand, they are often caught and sold by local people.
