Hanoi: More than 105 thousand workers have jobs

In May, more than 17,000 workers were employed. In the first 5 months of 2025, more than 105,000 workers in Hanoi were employed. This is the data reported by the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs on employment on June 3.

According to the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs, of the more than 17,000 workers who received jobs in May, 1,733 were hired from the state budget; 2,569 workers received jobs after interviews at the Hanoi Employment Service Center's job fairs and nearly 13,000 were hired through other means.

In May, the Hanoi Employment Service Center also organized 22 job fairs with 510 units, businesses and 3,758 workers participating. As a result, 2,583 workers were interviewed at the sessions, 394 workers were recruited. In addition, 34,018 workers and 1,414 businesses were approached and consulted according to the existing services of the Hanoi Employment Service Center. Nearly 3,800 workers registered to find jobs through the Center.

Also in May, the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs decided to provide unemployment insurance to 6,849 workers with a support amount of VND245.16 billion. 3,312 workers receiving unemployment benefits received job counseling and referrals. In addition, the Department also supported vocational training for 75 people, with a support amount of VND386.5 million.
