Timely rescue of 4 people trapped in floodwaters in Hue

(PLVN) - On June 5, the leader of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hue City Police said that dozens of officers and soldiers along with vehicles had been mobilized overnight to rescue four people trapped in the raging floodwaters.

Accordingly, at around 11 p.m. on June 4, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Hue City Police received a report that 4 people from Hong Ha Commune, A Luoi District were trapped under a stream in the A A stream area (Paring Can Sam Village, Hong Ha Commune, A Luoi District, Hue City), so they quickly deployed forces and vehicles to rescue them.

At the scene, heavy rain poured down from upstream, causing the flood water of A A stream to rise very quickly. Meanwhile, 4 people were trapped on the back of a dump truck at the bottom of the stream.

Fire Police and Rescue Force coordinated with Hong Ha Commune Police and local people to use ropes, life jackets and equipment to quickly deploy the rescue team.

At 1:15 a.m. on June 5, the forces approached the trapped person, asked about his health, put on a life jacket for the victim, stretched the rope and moved the victim.

After nearly 2 hours of struggling in the floodwaters, the Fire Police and Rescue Force brought 4 people to shore safely, including: Ho Van Then (born in 1975), Ho Trieu Phu (born in 2009); Vuong Quoc Tri and Le Dinh Quan, both born in 2010.
