Not only the show "Thuy nuoc dot thuyen" , in recent years Trinh Thang and his crew have been in demand with TV shows, game shows, concerts, and live shows.

Most recently, in the fan meeting of singer Toc Tien held at the Phuong Nam Art Theater circus, Trinh Thang supported "beautiful sisters" Toc Tien and Minh Hang in a flying trapeze act that later became a hit on social networks.

Circus is a hard-working art form but often suffers because the audience does not remember its name.

Trinh Thang recalls that in the past, life was difficult so he participated in several TV game shows such as Bi Bi Bi, Sieu Bat Ngoi, Sao Noi Ngoi ...

Since then, some artists have proactively called him to ask for support in performances related to circus techniques.

The first person to contact Thang was Puka. Wanting her performance on the game show to be impressive, Puka asked Thang to direct the performance and perform with her.

One show after another came to him, and then Thang naturally entered showbiz without realizing it.

Trinh Thang said the reason the artists chose Thang to support them is because he specializes in flying trapeze.

"Tightrope and flying techniques are relatively easier to practice than other circus techniques. You can do it in just a few days of practice. When filmed, it looks very beautiful, airy, and gives the audience a thrill," Thang shared.

Many artists often vomit, have bruises and scratches on their arms and legs when practicing flying or swinging. "Some people vomit 10 times after flying 10 times, but most of the artists have chosen to fly because they are determined, so no one gives up.

When I gave instructions, I didn't encounter many difficulties because the artists knew that flying high was very dangerous, so they focused on themselves. From these training sessions, they understood more about the hardships of circus performers," Trinh Thang said.

Circus Boy's Superhero Dream

Trinh Thang was born in 1991 in Ninh Binh , in a family with no circus tradition. As a child, Thang loved superheroes and dreamed of flying like a cartoon character.

The opportunity came when he finished 7th grade, the Vietnam Circus and Variety Arts College came to Thang's school to recruit students, Trinh Thang immediately caught the attention of the teachers. After two months of summer trial at the school, Thang was immediately accepted into full-time study.

Thang immediately chose his forte of high rope swinging, as a way to realize his dream of flying like a superhero.

Graduating in 2009, half of the class, including Trinh Thang, went to the South to seek opportunities.

Handsome and tall, Trinh Thang paired up with artist Phuong Dong, and the two were praised as a "fairy boy - jade girl" couple because of their beautiful appearance.

Thang - Dong impressed the audience with many double silk swing performances with extremely romantic looks.

In the theater's circus play Dragon Father and Fairy Mother , Thang was chosen for the male lead role, Lac Long Quan.

Thang also participated in international circus festivals, won a silver medal in silk trapeze at the 2018 International Circus Festival, a gold medal in male figure at the 2022 International Circus Festival, and a bronze medal at the International Circus Festival in Kazakhstan...
