Merging Tuyen Quang Newspaper and Tuyen Quang Provincial Radio and Television Station

The conference announced the Decision of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on merging Tuyen Quang Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station from June 5, 2025; after the merger, it will be called Tuyen Quang Provincial Newspaper and Radio and Television Station.

The leadership includes the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editors-in-Chief. The affiliated units include 9 specialized departments. The positions, functions, tasks, powers, organizational structure, staffing, and working relationships of the Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station are implemented according to the regulations of the Central Government and the Regulations of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee. The Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station are responsible for implementing the tasks according to Project No. 30 - DA/TU dated May 6, 2025 of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee.

The conference also announced the Decisions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on job transfers for civil servants, and the Decisions of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on receiving and appointing civil servants to leadership and management positions. Accordingly, Mr. Mai Duc Thong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Editor-in-Chief of Tuyen Quang Electronic Newspaper was appointed to the position of Editor-in-Chief of the Provincial Newspaper and Radio - Television Station.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Secretary of Tuyen Quang province emphasized: The policy of merging the two agencies is a correct step, in line with the development trend of modern journalism, towards the model of a multimedia media agency. At the same time, it implements the Central's policy of continuing to innovate and streamline the organization and apparatus to be more effective and efficient. The merger of the two agencies is not simply a change of name or organization, but is the result of a serious, methodical, thorough and proactive preparation process by the two agencies of Tuyen Quang Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, and related agencies and units that have closely followed the direction of the Central and the province.

This is an important turning point in the process of streamlining the provincial press apparatus, meeting the development requirements in the digital transformation era, and more effectively implementing the province's information and propaganda work. The merger will integrate the strengths of print, radio and television, creating more modern and attractive multimedia communication products. This is also an opportunity to train and foster a multi-talented and professional journalism team in many types of journalism to meet the increasingly high demands in the new period.
