On the morning of June 6, at GO Supermarket in Hai Phong City, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hai Duong in collaboration with Thanh Ha Vegetables and Fruits Company Limited opened the display, introduction and sale of Thanh Ha lychee products at the GO Vietnam supermarket system.
At the same time, Thanh Ha litchi is also displayed and sold simultaneously at the entire GO Vietnam supermarket system.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Pham Thi Dao said that in recent years, along with expanding export markets, Hai Duong has focused on coordinating the display, introduction and sale of lychee products at supermarket chains across the country, including GO supermarket.
GO is one of the retail brands loved by Vietnamese people. Continuing to sell Thanh Ha litchis at GO supermarket system is very important in promoting and introducing one of Hai Duong's famous specialties to domestic and foreign consumers.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment and local authorities are committed to always accompanying farmers to promote safe lychee production, creating the best conditions for businesses, supermarkets, and commercial centers to conveniently purchase lychees.
Within the framework of the program, a signing ceremony of cooperation on lychee consumption took place between Thanh Ha Vegetable and Fruit One Member Co., Ltd. and representatives of GO Vietnam supermarket system.
According to the plan, GO Vietnam supermarket system will consume about 20 tons/day of Hai Duong's main-season lychee until the lychee season ends. GO Vietnam will cooperate with many businesses to purchase lychee, including Thanh Ha Vegetable and Fruit One Member Co., Ltd.
This year's litchi crop, the whole province has about 8,800 hectares of litchi, with an estimated output of about 65,000 tons, an increase of 20,000 tons compared to last year. About 70% of litchi output is exported to many countries around the world . In Vietnam, Thanh Ha litchi is sold by some supermarket systems and clean agricultural product chains. Early litchi has basically finished harvesting. The main litchi season is harvested from June 15 to 25.
