Car driver stopped on bridge and dropped things into river, fined 13.5 million VND

The incident occurred at Van Ha bridge, Thieu Hoa town, Thanh Hoa province, recorded by another vehicle's dash cam and spread on social networks, making many people angry.

Specifically, on June 2, a clip was circulated on social media recording a scene where a man driving a car with license plate 36A - 495.xx was traveling on Van Ha bridge when he suddenly stopped the car, opened the trunk, took out many things and threw them into the river.

After the clip was posted, many people expressed their outrage at the driver’s actions. Most people said that this person was not only not environmentally conscious, but also obstructed and endangered other road users crossing the bridge.

Mr. LVD's behavior was fined 13.5 million VND, deducted 2 points from his driving license and had his vehicle impounded for 7 days.

Immediately after receiving the information, Traffic Police Team No. 1, Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police quickly investigated and clarified. The identity of the man who committed the above act was identified as Mr. LVD (born in 1977), living in Thieu Hoa town, Thieu Hoa district.

At the police station, Mr. D stated that on the morning of June 1, he was driving a car with license plate 36A - 495.xx on National Highway 45. When he reached Van Ha bridge in Thieu Hoa town, Thieu Hoa district, he stopped the car right on the bridge to conveniently take things and throw them into the river.

Based on the violation, the Traffic Police Department has issued a fine of 13.5 million VND to Mr. LV D for the violations of parking on the bridge and not having a vehicle inspection certificate. At the same time, 2 points were deducted from the driver's license; the vehicle was temporarily detained for 7 days.
