A series of "strange" schools in Ho Chi Minh City have national excellent students for the first time

(Dan Tri) - In addition to traditional schools, this year in Ho Chi Minh City there are many schools that have students participating and winning national excellent student awards for the first time.

This year, Ho Chi Minh City has 18 high schools participating in the national excellent student competition. In addition to the schools with a tradition of participating in the national excellent student competition, there are many schools whose students participated and won prizes in this competition for the first time.

Hoang Hoa Tham High School had 1 student competing and winning third prize; Tran Phu High School had 1 student winning third prize out of 3 students competing; Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Phu Nhuan, Trung Vuong, and Thuc Hanh High Schools all had 1 student competing and winning consolation prize...

Notably, this is also the first time in Ho Chi Minh City that a student from a private school, Duc Tri Secondary and High School, has participated in the competition and won second prize.

This year, Ho Chi Minh City has 166 students winning prizes out of a total of 236 candidates competing in 12 subjects, ranking 2nd in the country.

Ho Chi Minh City has a bumper crop with 6 first prizes in 4 subjects. Specifically, 3 first prizes in English; chemistry, biology and literature each have 1 first prize.

English and IT are the two subjects that have the most students winning prizes in Ho Chi Minh City, with 19 prizes each. Next are physics and chemistry, with 18 prizes each; and math, with 16 students winning prizes.

Although Japanese was the first subject that Ho Chi Minh City participated in the competition, it still had 13 prizes; Biology and French each had 12 students winning prizes; Geography and Chinese each won 11 prizes; Literature had 9 prizes and History had 8 prizes.
