On the afternoon of October 23, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province, Huynh Van Hoa, signed and issued an official dispatch to schools on strengthening management, educating students, and preventing school violence in educational institutions in the area.
According to the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province, recently, there have been many cases of violence in and out of schools in the province, reflected through clips posted on social networks, causing negative impacts on the educational environment. This shows that educational management and coordination between units are still limited.

The leaders of the education sector of An Giang province requested heads of schools to strengthen management and education of students; grasp psychology and friendships and intervene promptly if they see unusual attitudes.
Schools need to promote psychological counseling groups, social work in schools, life skills education, conflict resolution skills, cultural behavior in schools, and support students in moral training.
"Heads of affiliated educational institutions must be directly responsible to the Department Director if there are serious incidents of students violating ethics and lifestyle, being violent, abusive or having a negative impact on the reputation of the school or locality," the Department's document stated.
Previously, on October 22, a leader of the People's Committee of Binh Thanh Dong commune (An Giang province) confirmed to Dan Tri reporter that a school violence incident had just occurred in the commune involving a group of male students from Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School.
The incident was recorded and posted on social media the same morning. Images from the clip show 3 middle school boys fighting. One of the 3 boys holds a 50cm long stick and attacks his friend from behind.
The fight left two male students seriously injured and hospitalized.

The case has been received by the commune police and is being investigated and handled according to regulations.
This is the latest incident in a series of alarming school violence cases that have occurred in An Giang province recently.
Previously, on September 23, an 8th grade female student of Cho Vam Secondary School (Cho Vam Commune) was beaten and dragged by two male students right in the classroom by her hair. The offensive incident caused a strong reaction from the public.
Also on September 23, an 8th grade female student of Van Khanh Secondary and High School (Van Khanh commune) was blocked and beaten by a group of students, forcing her to be hospitalized for a long time.
Not long ago, a group of female students used helmets to fight each other, using vulgar language to curse each other in front of the gate of Nguyen Hue Secondary School (old Long Xuyen City, now Long Xuyen Ward).
