Nghi Son Petrochemical Refinery pays 820 million USD to the budget

On December 30, information from Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited (NSRP) said that by the end of 2023, this unit had achieved many remarkable achievements.

Accordingly, in 2023, despite the first full maintenance of the factory, NSRP still produced nearly 7.6 million tons of various products, completing the set plan.

After completing the plant maintenance, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical has operated stably and increased its capacity to 117%.

NSRP also said that the factory's initial restructuring has helped the staff, employees, and experts improve their solidarity and work more actively.

Mr. So Hasegawa, General Director of NSRP, said that in 2023, NSRP achieved net revenue of about 6.4 billion USD, contributing about 820 million USD to the state budget. At the same time, corporate governance is increasingly effective, initiatives in transforming corporate governance have brought benefits of about 118 million USD in 2023, and are expected to be 50 million USD per year in the following years.

Last November, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Plant and asked the plant to quickly restructure for better development.

NSRP also marked many important milestones, when it achieved more than 14 million safe working hours. According to NSRP, these achievements were thanks to the active contributions of officers, employees, experts, contractors and the strong and active support of Thanh Hoa provincial government.

From those successes, it will bring significant benefits to Vietnam. When the factory operates stably, it will create many opportunities, new jobs, support revenue contribution for local businesses, contribute more to the community...
