On March 30, the City of London Corporation admitted that the UK capital London is no longer the only city holding the leading position among global financial centers.
New York City has now risen from second place to equal London, as more companies list on the US market.
The above conclusion was made by the financial market regulator in London after an annual survey assessing the performance of global financial centers.
According to this latest assessment, London's overall competitiveness score is 60 points (up from 59 points in 2022), but New York's score has risen sharply to match London's. It is followed by Singapore in 3rd place (51 points), Germany's Frankfurt in 4th (46 points), France's Paris in 5th (43 points) and Japan's Tokyo in 6th (35 points).
