(NLDO) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the Public Security Forces have been exemplary and taken the lead in seriously implementing the Party and State's guidelines and policies.

On December 26, in Hanoi, the Central Party Committee of the Public Security held a conference to review the Party's work in 2024 and deploy directions and tasks for 2025.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a speech. General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, chaired the conference.

At the Conference, delegates unanimously assessed that in 2024, under the close, drastic and timely leadership and direction of the Party and State; close coordination of ministries, departments, branches and localities; the active accompaniment of the Fatherland Front and social organizations; the support and assistance of the People and international friends; the People's Public Security Force (PPP) has overcome difficulties and challenges, successfully performed the task of ensuring security and order (SSO), contributing to maintaining political stability, effectively serving the tasks of economic, cultural, social and foreign development of the country. Among them, there are many outstanding tasks, leaving their mark, "bright spots".

At the Conference, the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security identified the slogan for the entire Public Security force in 2025: "Being exemplary, accelerating breakthroughs in implementing the Party's policies and the State's laws, building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern Public Security force"; setting out 10 major tasks, including 3 key breakthrough tasks to successfully achieve the goals set for 2025.

Speaking at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the Public Security Forces have been exemplary, taking the lead in seriously implementing the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws, ready to be present in the most difficult, arduous and dangerous places, and have demonstrated their mettle: "steadfast, resourceful, creative, brave in fighting crime and law violations", working selflessly "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people", becoming a "pioneer and leader" in many fields, especially pioneering in restructuring the apparatus, national digital transformation, perfecting laws, social security, building houses for the poor, etc.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested that the National Public Security Conference focus on discussing and proposing major strategies, solutions, and policies on ensuring security and order, building a regular, elite, and modern Public Security force in the coming time, contributing to deciding the future victory of the country... Along with that, he emphasized a number of key tasks.

The Public Security Forces need to continue to further promote their pioneering and exemplary role in implementing the Party's guidelines, policies and the State's laws; proactively and closely coordinate with ministries, branches, localities, especially the People's Army, to promote the combined strength of the entire political system, the entire people and the entire army to participate in the work of ensuring security and order... The Central Public Security Party Committee must be a strong, united, and exemplary Party Committee, improving its leadership capacity and fighting strength to create total strength, striving to excellently complete all assigned tasks, with higher results than in 2024...

Proactively analyze, evaluate, and accurately forecast the situation; proactively advise and propose to the Party and State policies and strategic solutions, perfect mechanisms, institutions, and important legal policies on politics, economics, culture, society, national defense, security, and foreign affairs; the People's Public Security Forces must step forward, take the lead, and approach as quickly as possible to seize opportunities and advantages, turn challenges into opportunities to contribute to creating and expanding the living space and space for rapid and sustainable national development, contributing to peace, stability, and development in the region and the world...

Synchronously deploy all aspects of work to ensure internal political security; absolutely protect the security and safety of Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. Proactively coordinate and propose solutions to ensure financial and banking activities, energy development, key infrastructure, technology infrastructure, digital infrastructure, promote sustainable development of the real estate market, stock market, corporate bond market, gold market; ensure network security, combat and strictly handle anti-government groups, groups and subjects in cyberspace.

Do better in preventing, regularly and continuously attacking and suppressing all types of crimes; besides, it is necessary to create a secure, safe and healthy environment for economic and social development... Promote the movement of the whole people to protect national security, raise awareness so that people "do not accept, do not harbor, proactively condemn and denounce crimes". Promote and improve the quality of State management of security and order; ensure traffic order and safety and fire and explosion prevention with the goal of taking the safety of people's lives and health as the top priority.
