Across all three regions of Vietnam—North, Central, and South—destinations are bustling with tourists , recording impressive numbers and providing a strong boost to Vietnam's tourism industry. With unique festivals and events at many destinations, Vietnamese tourism has affirmed its attractiveness.
From the majestic mountains of Northwest Vietnam to the beautiful coastal regions of Central Vietnam and the charming islands of the South, each area offers visitors unforgettable experiences, further solidifying Vietnam's position as a leading destination in the region.

In the Northwest region, Lao Cai province welcomed approximately 196,500 visitors during the holiday period, with Sa Pa town accounting for about 122,770 visitors, a 33.2% increase compared to the September 2nd holiday in 2023. Sun World Fansipan Legend alone received tens of thousands of visitors over the four days. Total revenue from tourism in Lao Cai province reached approximately 606 billion VND.
Quang Ninh , with the majestic beauty of Ha Long Bay and its famous entertainment destinations, attracted 455,000 visitors, a 19% increase compared to the same period last year. The number of visitors to Sun World Ha Long, the largest entertainment complex in Northern Vietnam, is estimated to be the same as last year. Total tourism revenue in Quang Ninh is estimated at VND 1,033 billion, a 31% increase compared to 2023, with accommodation facilities achieving occupancy rates of 80% to 90%, particularly high in areas such as Ha Long, Mong Cai, and Co To.

As the focal point of tourism in Central Vietnam, Da Nang not only recorded a strong increase in the number of tourists but also continued to assert its position with outstanding destinations such as Sun World Ba Na Hills and the newest entertainment complex, Da Nang Downtown, attracting thousands of visitors every day.
According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, the total number of tourists visiting Da Nang during the holiday period reached nearly 308,000, an increase of 21.2% compared to the same period in 2023. Total tourism revenue reached over 1,200 billion VND, an increase of 33.8% compared to the same period in 2023.
Specifically, Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area saw an estimated 16% increase in visitors during the four-day holiday compared to the same period last year, while Da Nang Downtown, the summer's phenomenon and Da Nang's new "entertainment district," with its series of spectacular shows, experienced an exceptionally impressive increase of 268% compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, among the most popular tourist destinations in the South, Phu Quoc stands out with 75,591 visitors, a 20.9% increase, of which international visitors accounted for 15,559, a 173% increase compared to the same period. Attracting visitors with its well-planned and large-scale tourism ecosystem, South Phu Quoc, with its Sunset Town and a series of high-quality tourism products such as the Kissing Bridge – a new symbol of Vietnamese tourism, the world-class multimedia show Kiss of the Sea, and the Sun World Hon Thom entertainment complex, is a magnet for tourists visiting the Pearl Island.
In Tay Ninh, Mount Ba Den – the "Roof of Southern Vietnam" – remains a spiritual destination attracting millions of people from the Southwestern region during holidays. With a short travel distance from Ho Chi Minh City and many unique experiences, tourists flock to Mount Ba Den to participate in activities such as offering incense and paying respects at the Ba Den Pagoda complex, enjoying traditional art performances like Chhay Dam drum dance and traditional five-tone music, and attending the sacred lantern offering ceremony at the summit of Mount Ba Den at Sun World Ba Den Mountain Resort. A 19% increase in visitors compared to the same period in 2023 confirms the appeal of this location during this year's holiday season.
The allure of… patriotism and national pride
What makes these destinations so attractive this year is not just the diversity of festivals and new experiences, but also the national pride and patriotism that permeate the way these destinations decorate and welcome visitors.

The area around Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area in Tay Ninh is brilliantly decorated with red flags and flowers from the foot to the summit of the mountain. A special highlight is the giant red flag with a yellow star, made up of thousands of floating lanterns, strongly expressing the spirit of national pride.
In addition, programs such as the flag-raising ceremony on the mountaintop, the lantern offering ceremony on September 2nd, and the water music show with modern technology also offer activities that evoke patriotism and national pride in visitors.
The southern part of Phu Quoc Island was especially magnificent on September 2nd, with the red flag with a yellow star and a giant national flag at the Hon Thom cable car station, as well as staff uniforms reflecting patriotism. Every visitor to Phu Quoc during this time received a conical hat painted in the colors of the national flag and a hand-held flag for check-in photos, fostering a sense of connection and national spirit.
Tourists were particularly impressed by the vibrant display of the Vietnamese flag and dazzling fireworks on the world's largest sea-water stage of the Kiss of the Sea show. Many resorts, such as New World Phu Quoc, expressed their love for Vietnam by decorating with what is believed to be the largest flag on Phu Quoc Island, right on the roof of the resort's main building.

Fansipan also witnessed a large turnout of tourists during the flag-raising ceremony and singing of the national anthem at the highest flagpole in the country, where everyone could feel national pride at the highest peak of Indochina. The Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area also left visitors incredibly impressed, with its abundance of flags and flowers.
The small houses in May village are decorated with thousands of red flags with yellow stars and covered in golden straw and ripe rice, creating a colorful and meaningful atmosphere. The highlight of the tourist area is a nearly 4-meter-tall national flag made from 10,000 roses, attracting many tourists to take photos and check in.
Many destinations this year have, in one way or another, brought domestic and international tourists closer together, creating a particularly memorable and meaningful holiday, through styles that express national pride and affection.
