Colonel Le Van Hung - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command presented gifts to the camp at the handover ceremony of the "Comradeship" house.
In the new house named “Comradeship” which was just handed over, the couple Nguyen Minh Tai and Tran Thi Be Thuong, residing in Hung Le hamlet (Hung Le commune, Giong Trom district) could not hide their emotions. Both of them are hardworking people, but unfortunately, while climbing to pick fallen coconuts, he was injured and could not walk anymore. The family’s already difficult life became even more difficult, and their family was classified as having special housing difficulties. Through the introduction of the locality, the Organizing Committee of the camp supported them to build a new house, filled with warmth and affection.
“My family is very grateful to the donors and the Military Region 9 for helping my family have a house to protect us from the sun and rain, so that my husband can rest assured and my children can have a place to study properly. This is a great motivation for my family to continue to try to overcome difficulties and stabilize their economy ,” said Ms. Tran Thi Be Thuong. This is one of 66 “Comrades”, “Comrades’ Love”, “Comrades’ Love”, “Love” houses (60 million VND/house) for the beneficiaries that the Military Commands of 12 provinces and cities and the Military School of the Military Region contributed to support and present during the camp.
Not only giving away houses, the camp also built rural roads and playgrounds for children. A typical example is the inauguration of a playground for children at Binh Hoa Kindergarten (Binh Tien 2 Hamlet, Binh Hoa Commune). This is a school with many difficulties in the commune, with limited playing conditions for children. The school has installed many swings with cute animal shapes for children to play (total value of over 80 million VND).

Ms. Dam Thai Nguyen - teacher of Binh Hoa Kindergarten shared: “We are very happy that the school has installed play equipment to create conditions for children to play, the children really like it. Up to now, the hamlet has not had a playground, the children's playing conditions are also very limited. The school was previously flooded, but this situation has now been resolved. Now the school has installed play equipment to create more excitement for the children."
During the camp, the road connecting Group 5 and Group 6, Binh Xuan Hamlet, Chau Binh Commune was inaugurated. The road is over 300m long, built with concrete, 2m wide, with a total construction cost of 200 million VND. Of which, the Political Department of Military Region 9 supported 100 million VND; the rest was contributed by the people. The road being put into use has created excitement and joy for the people here. In addition, the camp also presented nearly 200 gifts to the beneficiaries.
From the works, the houses of love have left good impressions about the camp, about the armed forces in the region in general and the province in particular in the hearts of the people, forever shining the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era, contributing to building the homeland.
“Every year, in March, the Political Department of the Military Region organizes a traditional camp, with the participation of the Military Commands of 12 provinces and cities (the provinces and cities take turns hosting). This year, the camp is hosted by Ben Tre. Thereby, creating conditions for the Military Region's armed forces and localities to exchange experiences and supplement knowledge in work activities.
