Leaders of Mo Cay Bac district took souvenir photos with the district's journalism force before parting ways.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the establishment and development of the Vietnamese revolutionary press over the past 100 years (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025). It is known that the press of Mo Cay Bac district alone, since the establishment of the district in April 2009, has continuously developed with 4 types: spoken newspaper (radio), printed newspaper (paper), visual newspaper (television) and electronic newspaper (website, social networking sites, etc.). Every year, the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Mo Cay Bac district publish 2,000 spring special editions of the district, the Propaganda Department publishes monthly and quarterly newsletters; organizes spring newsletter competitions at commune and town levels; participates in columns in Dong Khoi Newspaper, etc.

The radio system (talking newspapers) reaches all 12 communes and towns. Journalists in the district express the “Voice of the Party, the State and the people’s forum” through various genres in the field of journalism…

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Mo Cay Bac district Nguyen Trung Nghiep emphasized that the first newspaper of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee was the Hammer and Sickle, published in May 1931, and since then it has developed and changed its name 14 times, including the name Chien Thang; on November 11, 1976, Chien Thang newspaper was renamed Dong Khoi newspaper until today. Since April 30, 2009, the press force in Mo Cay Bac district has regularly collaborated on Dong Khoi newspaper, Ben Tre Radio and Television Station and the current electronic newspaper.

However, the district’s journalism force needs to constantly learn to improve their skills as Uncle Ho taught: “Who to write for? What to write for? What to write? And how to write?”. Must write in the right genre, writing for spoken newspapers cannot be exactly the same as for printed newspapers… A journalistic work must be: correct, accurate and attractive.

From July 1, 2025 onwards, when the district level no longer exists, Mo Cay Bac will have 3 new communes. The press force in these 3 communes must reflect, propagate, and replicate examples of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style. Continue to propagate and convey the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State to all people. Regularly improve the quality of news and articles on the radio.

Coordinate with provincial newspapers and radio stations to open training courses to improve the skills of journalists in the commune. In this farewell session, the Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee always hopes that the cadres and comrades in the Culture - Science and Information sector at the commune level will continue to progress and succeed in the future.
