Wearing a bikini to "follow the trend" at the beach, a Hanoi girl sought a doctor after her trip

(Dan Tri) - The 26-year-old girl's 10-day trip to Hanoi ended with a doctor's appointment at an ENT clinic. The reason came from a "trend-following" clip while traveling to the beach.

Thanh Huyen (26 years old, marketing staff of an interior design company in Hanoi) just went on a 10-day trip to some provinces in the Central Highlands, Phu Yen and Binh Dinh.

The girl encountered an unforgettable situation when making a "trending" clip while swimming in the beach.

Thanh Huyen said that when she went to Ky Co beach, Nhon Ly commune, Binh Dinh province, she wanted to film the clip that is currently causing a stir on social media, recording the scene of "lying on the sand and relaxing".

Huyền wore a crocheted bikini, wore glasses and lay on the sand. "I thought the waves would hit me gently, the cool sea water would wash over my back, but unexpectedly a big wave pushed me over, water and sand rushed straight into my face and head," she said.

After taking a shower, Huyen felt a buzzing and uncomfortable feeling in her ears, as if something was moving inside. That night, the girl intended to go to the doctor right away, but because she was tired, she fell asleep. The next morning, when she returned to Hanoi , Huyen immediately went to an ENT clinic.

The doctor performed an endoscopy and discovered that there was a lot of sand in her ear. After cleaning her ear, Huyen no longer felt uncomfortable because the sand stuck deep in her ear had been removed.

"The doctor told me not to lie too close to the shore. Strong waves can push sand deep into the ear. In many cases, if left untreated for a long time, it can lead to otitis media, requiring treatment for several months," Thanh Huyen said.

Apart from the unexpected incident, the trip brought Thanh Huyen unforgettable experiences.

In Phu Yen , Huyen was most impressed with Hon Yen - a place with beautiful coral reefs, clear blue water, and fish swimming around. On the way, she was also surprised to visit Giai Son market - known as the "cheapest market in Vietnam" because the dishes here cost only from 1,000 VND.

"A full meal for me and a friend only costs 55,000 VND, with dishes like sweet soup for 3,000 VND, banh xeo for 2,000 VND, and vermicelli for 15,000 VND," the girl said.

Another special memory is the journey to wake up at 4am to watch the sunrise at Mui Dien - the first place to welcome the sun on mainland Vietnam.

Huyen advises anyone who intends to come here to wear light clothes, bring water and snacks, because after arriving, they still have to climb for about 15-20 minutes. "At around 6:30, the sun starts to burn, so everyone remember to apply sunscreen or bring a hat, cap, and long-sleeved shirt," she said.

Ending the journey in Phu Yen, Huyen and her friend moved to Quy Nhon. Although she had been there before, Huyen still took the time to explore Eo Gio and Ky Co - two famous destinations less than 2km apart.

They rented motorbikes and drove through the wind farm. At Ky Co, Huyen was impressed by a small bathing area next to the mountain, little known, suitable for those who want to take "virtual life" photos.

Note when going to the beach

Sand shoveling, sand building, sand throwing, and wave riding are all indispensable games at the beach. However, small grains of sand can easily get into the ear canal due to the water waves (the closer the water is to the shore, the more sand it contains). It is also easy to put your sandy hand in your ear when there is stagnant water, scratching the very sensitive skin of the ear canal, causing inflammation.

Otitis externa usually does not cause high fever, but causes severe pain, increasing rapidly, especially at night, when chewing, when yawning. Along with ear pain is a feeling of fullness, blockage, earplugs, tinnitus and hearing loss, discomfort. After 2-3 days, the ear canal can be seen swollen, red, narrowed, with pus-like discharge.

When sand gets into your ear, do not use a cotton swab (even one that has been sterilized) to clean or dig into the ear canal because the sand particles will cause scratches and further infection.

When there is seawater in the ear canal, tilt your head to one side and gently press the ear canal cover to let the water and sand flow out. If there is a lot of sand in the ear canal (sand throwing), use a syringe (remove the sharp, hard needle) to fill it with filtered water, gently pump the water into the ear canal, and roll the sand out to avoid scratching. If you experience hearing loss or discomfort, you should see a doctor or health worker for advice.
