Malaysia will face Vietnam at 8:00 p.m. today (June 10) at Bukit Jalil Stadium in the second match of Group F of the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.
However, the “holy land” certainly will not be able to fill its 87,500 seats. Because, according to the information FAM has just updated, only 45,629 tickets have been sold, while the match will start at 8:00 p.m. today.
So after two days of continuously calling on fans to buy tickets on the media, today the number has increased from 29,400 tickets to 45,629 tickets. Through social media channels, FAM is still tirelessly calling on fans to come to the stadium to cheer on their team.
Holding the match on Tuesday caused a lot of difficulties for the people who came to cheer.
Even though FAM sells tickets for this match quite cheaply with 4 types. The highest class is only 70 ringgit (about 420,000 VND/ticket), 60 ringgit (about 360,000 VND/ticket), and 40 ringgit (about 240,000 VND/ticket).
There are also extremely cheap tickets of 5 ringgit (about 30,000 VND) for children, but it still seems unable to attract people to the stadium.
The "holy land" Bukit Jalil is not filled, the Vietnamese players will have less pressure - Photo: FAM
However, the fact that the “holy land” Bukit Jalil is not filled will be an advantage for coach Kim Sang Sik’s team. Because everyone knows how much pressure there will be if playing in front of nearly 90,000 opponents.
Historically, the Vietnamese team has also "faltered" many times under the terrible pressure that Bukit Jalil Stadium once created.
