Sending off New Year wishes to the soldiers and people of Truong Sa archipelago

Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 4, Colonel Nguyen Huu Minh, hopes that reporters and press representatives will bring many sentiments from the mainland to the officers and soldiers who are protecting the sea and islands day and night. Thereby, it will truly reflect the spirit, responsibility, and sentiment of officers, soldiers, and people on the mainland towards the soldiers and people in Truong Sa as well as the sentiment of officers, soldiers, and people in Truong Sa towards officers, soldiers, and people on the mainland.

On this occasion, reporters from central and local news agencies and newspapers will focus on disseminating the legal basis and historical evidence affirming Vietnam's sovereignty , sovereign rights, and national jurisdiction, and activities affirming Vietnam's sovereignty over Truong Sa, in accordance with international law. The press will reflect international viewpoints and international agreements related to seas and islands to which Vietnam is a member; bilateral and multilateral agreements of countries with common interests in the East Sea in accordance with international law and practices, and Vietnamese law; focusing on the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea; the Code of Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (COC), and the support of the international community for the struggle to protect Vietnam's sovereignty over seas and islands.

Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan presented gifts to representatives of officers and soldiers on duty in Truong Sa archipelago.

In addition, reporters also reflected the concern of the Party, State, central and local ministries, branches, enterprises, the army and people nationwide, and the overseas Vietnamese community for the army and people in Truong Sa and the sentiments of the army and people in Truong Sa towards the people nationwide and the overseas Vietnamese community. At the same time, they propagated the history and tradition of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the nation; the feats of protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of our army and people today; the outstanding achievements of the Navy and other forces in helping the people; protecting oil and gas exploration and exploitation activities; protecting aquatic resources; protecting law enforcement, fighting against law violations in Vietnam's seas and islands.

In order to ensure safety and achieve the goals and requirements set for the working trip to Truong Sa, Colonel Nguyen Huu Minh requested reporters to overcome difficulties and strictly follow regulations on safety and propaganda content during their work.
