The stark contrast between the dark, stuffy basement setting and Ut Kho's bright face makes the space seem to light up with hope for the future.
Previously, the first images of “Tunnel: Sun in the Dark” made the audience both excited and impressed by Thai Hoa’s character Bay Theo and the fierce battle scene of American soldiers.
The film title “Sun in the Dark” also brings a feeling of both peace and pride when the resilient soldiers still see hope even in the narrow land.
“Tunnel: Sun in the Dark” is set in 1967, the 21-man guerrilla team led by Bay Theo at Binh An Dong base became the number 1 “search and destroy” target of the US military when they received the mission to protect a new strategic intelligence group that had just arrived at the base at all costs.
Radio communications with the intelligence group were detected and located by the US military, taking away the guerrillas' only advantage of invisibility in the vast, complex and mysterious tunnel system.
The film is a story interwoven between the camaraderie, love and desire to live of soldiers, but above all, it is duty and sacrifice for the Fatherland.
In the film, the character Ut Kho is portrayed as a small but strong guerrilla, very emotional, devoted to her teammates and loves to sing. Despite facing countless difficulties and dangers, Ut Kho is always a source of encouragement for her teammates.
Taking on the role of Ut Kho, actress Hang Lamoon shared that, to ensure authenticity and depth in recreating the character, director Bui Thac Chuyen was very meticulous in choosing actors and helping them transform into their roles.

The actors went through training sessions on the training ground and lived with the guerrillas to better understand the lives and psychology of their characters in the context of war, as well as to be inspired for their roles.
Along with the release of the teaser poster, the film crew also officially announced the postponement of the release date to April 4, 2025, 3 weeks before the April 30, 2025 celebration, in the spirit of celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification.
