A Russian passenger plane flying from the Black Sea city of Sochi to the Siberian city of Omsk made an emergency landing in a field, Russian officials said. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
The Russian Air Transport Agency Rosaviatsia announced that at 5:44 local time (9:44 Vietnam time), an Airbus A320 of Ural Airlines made an emergency landing in the area near the village of Kamenka, in the Novosibirsk region.
All passengers were taken to the nearest village and none required medical assistance, the agency said.
Domestic airline Ural Airlines said a total of 170 people, including 23 children, were on board the plane at the time of the incident .
Ural Airlines chief Sergei Skuratov said one of the plane's hydraulic systems failed as the plane approached the city of Omsk.
The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case on violations of air traffic safety rules. Investigators said the plane made an emergency landing due to technical reasons./.
