Vietnamese students' drones impress Cuban delegation

TPO - On October 3, a high-ranking Cuban delegation led by Mr. Juan Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the Cuban National Assembly and President of the Cuban Council of State, visited and worked at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education.

At the reception, Mr. Lazo Hernández expressed special interest in high-tech equipment developed by the school's students, notably drones used in agriculture .

He appreciated the creativity of the students here when witnessing that more than 70% of the components were produced domestically and expressed hope that this device will soon reach a rate of "100% made in Vietnam" and be brought to Cuba for use.

During the visit, the two sides also discussed cooperation orientations in the fields of education , science and technology, agriculture and renewable energy. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education introduced many other research products such as positioning robots, engines, and automation applications.

Robots designed by lecturers and students of the school are being ordered by a number of units.

This event is considered a significant milestone in strengthening technical and research cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba, as well as the prospect of applying science and technology to agricultural development in the two countries.

Cuban National Assembly President Esteban Lazo Hernández took a souvenir photo with students. He believes the young generation will study well and contribute to building a stronger Vietnam.
