The bank rolled out a new payment solution exclusively for iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac from August 8.
Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank has just introduced to Visa cardholders the Apple Pay payment method with security advantages, helping customers avoid giving their payment cards to others, touching physical payment buttons or exchanging cash, to protect transactions.
MB representative said that the bank's goal is to update new technology trends to bring modern, convenient and user-friendly payment solutions.
"The convenience, safety and privacy of Apple Pay are plus points that encourage customers to apply this payment method," MB representative added.

To set up Apple Pay, on iPhone, users open the Wallet app, tap the plus sign (+), and follow the instructions to add an MB credit or debit card. Customers can add an MB Visa credit or debit card to Apple Pay from the MB Bank app. In addition, customers can also register for a debit card online through the MB app, the card will be issued immediately and added to Apple Pay.
Once customers add their card to their iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, and Mac, they can start using Apple Pay on that device right away. They also receive the rewards and benefits that MB cards offer.
To use, customers simply double-tap and hold their iPhone or Apple Watch near a payment terminal to make a contactless payment. Every Apple Pay transaction is secure, authenticated with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device’s passcode, along with a dynamic one-time security code. Apple Pay is accepted at convenience stores, pharmacies, taxi companies, restaurants, cafes, retail stores, and more.
Users can also use Apple Pay on iPhone, iPad, and Mac to make purchases or transactions on the web through Safari without creating an account or entering shipping and payment information multiple times. It can also be used to pay within apps on Apple Watch.
According to MB representative, one of the most prominent features of this method is security. When customers use credit or debit cards on Apple Pay, the actual card number is not stored on the device or on Apple's servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number will be assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element, a standard chip designed to store payment information securely on electronic devices.
"Through the partnership with Apple Pay, MB continues to commit to the project of developing cashless payments in Vietnam," the bank representative added.
Note: Apply Pay works on iPhone 6 and later running iOS 12.5.2 or later, and Apple Watch Series 4 running watchOS 9 or later. Apple Watch must be paired with an iPhone 8 or later. Some features are subject to change. For more information, visit here .
