(HNMO) - Early morning on June 6, a pregnant woman gave birth on train SE4 with the help of the train crew and passengers.

According to Passenger Train Captain Le Thanh Van, train SE4 departs from Saigon station on June 4, 2023, and is expected to arrive at Hanoi station on June 6.

At 1:40 a.m. on June 6, while passing through Thanh Hoa, the train staff reported that a pregnant woman in bed 5, car 6 showed signs of giving birth (stomach ache, water breaking). Immediately, the train crew sent a sanitation worker to assist the passenger. At the same time, the radio called for passengers with medical expertise to go to car 6 to assist.

At 1:50 a.m. on June 6, 2023, the passenger safely gave birth to a baby girl. The train arrived at Thanh Hoa station at 2:07 a.m. the same day, and the train crew handed over the mother and child, along with all their luggage, for further processing.

This is not the first time that the Thong Nhat train crew has helped a pregnant woman give birth on the train. Typically, on April 21, 2022, a pregnant woman on the SE8 train gave birth at Quang Binh station with the help of the train crew and Train Captain Nguyen Huu Toan.
