Medlatec opens a new chapter in diagnostic imaging with ISO 15189:2022 certification

This achievement not only marks a breakthrough for Medlatec, but also opens a new chapter for the quality of diagnostic imaging in Vietnam, approaching global medical standards.

This is not only a professional certification, but also the result of a 12-month journey of perseverance, continuous efforts, overcoming countless challenges to affirm the commitment to quality, transparency and safety in diagnostic imaging, all for the health of the community.

Diagnostic imaging in medicine is likened to a "magic eye", helping doctors see details inside the patient's body without invasive intervention, thereby making accurate and timely treatment decisions.

However, for these images to become a reliable basis for saving lives, a rigorous process and a high-quality management system are needed. ISO 15189:2022 is not only a quality standard, but also a measure of accuracy and safety in every medical service.

With the desire to be a pioneer, Medlatec has courageously implemented ISO 15189:2022 standard in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging - a field where ISO is not commonly applied in Vietnam.

To achieve this certification, the team of doctors and technicians at Medlatec worked tirelessly together, reviewing more than 190 documents, completing 29 professional procedures, establishing a strict quality control system, and conducting internal assessments and continuous improvement throughout the year. All of this work continues in parallel with daily medical examination and treatment activities.

Dr. Dao Danh Vinh, Director of Medlatec Diagnostic Imaging Center, shared that we have to change from working based on experience to working according to standards. That is a big challenge, especially for technical staff with many years of experience. But when putting the patient at the center, all efforts become worthwhile.

Despite facing many barriers from old habits, huge amount of documents and time pressure, Medlatec did not give up. Step by step, they built and perfected a quality management system with methodical and scientific methods, creating outstanding improvements, not only in professional work but also in the entire operating process.

As a result, Medlatec has officially received the ISO 15189:2022 certificate from the National Accreditation Bureau (BoA), Ministry of Science and Technology . This is a recognition for the accuracy, reliability and safety in the entire imaging diagnostic process at Medlatec.
