Each cat is judged through 4 rounds of competition to select the most beautiful contestant. "The judges are all certified by the World Cat Federation, and can judge all breeds. After 4 years of working on cat welfare, we hope the competition will be promoted to bring an equal voice to cats and animals in general, promoting the pet breeding profession in Vietnam and the accompanying service industries," said Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son.

The white Maine Coon cat of Ms. Ly Bao Tran (34 years old, living in Nha Trang) surpassed a cat worth nearly 1 billion VND from Thailand and won the championship in the adult cat category. This cat was surrounded by many "fans" because of its 8kg size, smooth white fur and activeness. "I participated in the contest with the main desire to learn from experience, so when I won the prize, I was extremely surprised. In addition, I also have a domestic cat that I picked up on the street and entered the final round. I want to spread the message that both Western and Vietnamese cats are equally worthy of respect and condemn the act of eating dogs and cats," Ms. Tran shared.

Ms. Thanh Truong (44 years old, living in Tan Phu district, Ho Chi Minh City) shared that she has 7 years of experience raising and breeding pet cats in Vietnam. To the festival today, her family brought 2 female cats, worth 10,000 USD and 3,000 USD. "The cat market is large, but to have a beautiful standard breed like ours is rare, so the value is high. Before coming here, I also spent time creating a special diet, taking care of their fur, making them comfortable so that they don't get stressed when going out in crowded places... So I hope the cat will win a high prize," Ms. Thanh added.
