Informing Tuoi Tre Online about the incident that occurred with a series of fanpages, a Meta spokesperson said: “We have noted a technical problem that has affected a number of groups on Facebook. We are currently working to fix this error.”
Previously, from the afternoon of June 24, many Facebook fanpages in Vietnam were suddenly blocked or suspended for violating community rules.
Many of these fanpages have millions of members.
The suspended pages not only make it difficult for administrators to manage the pages, but also make it difficult for users to recognize which fanpage they are following because many of the "disappeared" pages have been renamed to "Group title pending", meaning they are in a state of waiting for a group name.
According to Tuoi Tre Online on the morning of June 25, some fanpages have had their names “returned to them” but many pages are still waiting to be named. Many members expressed their emotions of “both crying and laughing” when accessing their familiar fanpages.
This is not the first time Facebook has encountered technical problems this year. Previously, Facebook in particular and some other Meta services such as Messenger also encountered problems that greatly affected users.
Instability is a question that many users are asking about the operation of Meta products.
