Microsoft says users will be able to use the utility to enter queries or use the microphone icon for hands-free calling. Users can also decide whether they want Bing's answers to be creative, balanced, or precise.
When a question is asked, Bing will display a suitable chat format between the user and the search engine. Similar to Google's Bard, if dissatisfied with the answer, users can ask the artificial intelligence (AI) to change the content or topic. Microsoft says it will soon enable users to transfer conversations with Bing from smartphones to desktops and vice versa.
Users can access the respective support pages for Android and iOS to learn how to set it up. Support for more countries and languages will be rolled out soon, and the company claims to have improved the overall quality of non-English conversations.
These new upgrades promise to help users improve their device usage efficiency.
The company is also bringing the new Bing Chat AI feature to Swiftkey on Android. Users will soon be able to use Swiftkey to write text or compose emails by setting their desired formatting and length, similar to the upcoming Magic Composer on Google Messages. Microsoft says the AI will do the heavy lifting, but caution is still advised regarding potential errors.
Microsoft Edge is also attracting attention with its contextual chat feature, allowing users to utilize Bing Chat's AI to quickly summarize article content. They can highlight a section of text and ask Bing for more information. Microsoft is planning to roll out these features worldwide .
Skype's messaging software also received some AI enhancements through Bing. Microsoft says simply typing @Bing in a group or chat will request a collection and display of ideas they are discussing.
