According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently (December 13), cold air has affected the North of the Central Central region; in the Gulf of Tonkin, there are strong Northeast winds of level 6.
On land on December 13, the cold air continued to affect other places in the Central Central region. From the night of December 13, the cold air was further strengthened and affected the South Central region. The northeast wind inland was strong at level 3, coastal areas at level 4-5.
The North and North Central regions continue to be cold, with severe cold in the mountainous areas of the North; from the night of December 13, the North and Thanh Hoa regions will be severely cold, with severe cold in the mountainous areas. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North is generally 10-13 degrees Celsius, in the mountainous areas 7-10 degrees Celsius, in the high mountainous areas below 5 degrees Celsius in some places; in the North Central region, it is generally 12-15 degrees Celsius.

The North East Sea area (including Hoang Sa archipelago) has strong northeast winds at level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9; rough seas; waves from 3.0-6.0m high. The sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai has strong northeast winds at level 6, gusting to level 7-8; rough seas; waves from 2.0-4.5m high. Due to the influence of cold air combined with disturbances in the upper easterly wind zone, from December 13 to about December 15, the Central and South Central regions will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain; the North Central region will have rain and showers. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
