Train tickets on sale for National Day September 2nd

Vietnam Railways Corporation said that the railway industry has opened ticket sales for trains after summer until the end of 2024, including the National Day holiday on September 2, to serve the travel needs of passengers.

Specifically, the Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi route opens ticket sales for trains SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8.

In the Northern region, Hanoi - Da Nang route opens ticket sales for train SE19/SE20; Hanoi - Vinh route opens train NA1/NA2; Hanoi - Lao Cai route opens train SP3/SP4; Hanoi - Hai Phong route opens ticket sales for trains HP1/HP2, LP2/LP3, LP5/LP6, LP7/LP8.

In the Southern region, tickets for the Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang route are available for sale on trains SE21/SE22; for the Ho Chi Minh City – Nha Trang route, trains SNT1/SNT2; for the Ho Chi Minh City – Phan Thiet route, trains SPT1/SPT2.

For these trains, the railway still applies discounts to social policy beneficiaries such as Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, people infected with toxic chemicals, people with severe disabilities, the elderly, children, students, union members, and passengers with customer cards.

In addition, during the National Day holiday of September 2 (from August 29 to September 3), when purchasing round-trip tickets, you will receive a 5% discount on return tickets for individuals and a 7% discount on return tickets for groups of 20 people or more.

During other periods from August 19 to the end of 2024, except for the September 2 holiday, the railway applies many promotional programs with up to 15% discount on ticket prices.

Accordingly, for Thong Nhat passenger trains SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8, when purchasing tickets with a travel distance of over 900km, passengers who purchase 10 days or more before departure date will receive a discount of 5% to 15% of the ticket price, except for the 4-berth sleeper cabin of train SE3.

For train SE21/SE22 (Saigon - Da Nang) with a travel distance of over 600km; train SNT1/SNT2 (Saigon - Nha Trang) with a travel distance of over 300km; train SPT1/SPT2 from Saigon - Phan Thiet, when passengers buy tickets 10 days or more before departure, they will receive a discount of 5% to 15% on the ticket price, except for the 4-berth sleeper cabin of trains SNT1/SNT2, SPT1/SPT2.

For passengers buying group tickets, with a number of 11 people or more, the discount is from 4% to 12% of the ticket price. Passengers buying round-trip tickets receive a 10% discount on the return ticket price.

In addition to regular trains, to serve passengers during the September 2nd holiday or when the number of passengers increases, the railway will organize additional trains from Hanoi to Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Quang Binh and vice versa; Hanoi to Hai Phong and vice versa; from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Quang Ngai, Hanoi and vice versa. At the same time, groups are encouraged to buy tickets in large quantities, buy the whole train... The railway will set up separate trains with departure and arrival times according to customer requests and agreed prices.
