Each step of development of Lam Ha is a great joy for the capital Hanoi.

Attending the meeting, Lam Dong provincial leaders included comrade Dinh Van Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, comrade Nguyen Van Son - Secretary of Lam Ha District Party Committee, along with Lam Ha district leaders and 60 former Hanoi youth pioneers in building a new economy in Lam Dong province.

In 1976, thousands of union members and young people from Hanoi went to Lam Dong to build the New Economic Zone. After 11 years, in 1987, when the New Economic Zone developed to the scale equivalent to a district, Hanoi City agreed with Lam Dong Province to establish the new economic district of Lam Ha on October 28, 1987.

During 38 years of construction and development, Lam Ha district has received attention and practical support from districts and Hanoi city, especially through programs, works and investment projects to develop technical and social infrastructure, contributing to improving facilities and enhancing the material and spiritual life of the people.

Specifically, in the period 2004 - 2010, Hanoi supported 34.3 billion VND for Lam Ha district to implement 8 projects; in the period 2011 - 2015, it supported investment in 32 projects and many equipment and facilities with a total cost of 197.47 billion VND; in the period 2016 - 2020, it supported investment in 17 projects and works on education, transportation and urban beautification.

With the investment of the State, Lam Dong province and timely investment support from Hanoi city, the infrastructure in Lam Ha district is increasingly upgraded, completed and synchronized. In July 2022, Lam Ha district was honored to be recognized by the Prime Minister as a district meeting new rural standards.

Lam Dong provincial leaders assessed that the support from Hanoi City not only has material significance but also demonstrates the deep affection, solidarity and attachment between the Capital and the people of Lam Ha district - the key economic region of Lam Dong province. This is a great motivation for the district to continue to develop sustainably, towards building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas in the next phase.

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong, on behalf of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, sent his warmest sentiments to the delegation of Lam Ha district, Lam Dong province. He also expressed his gratitude to the former youth pioneers in building a new economy in Lam Dong province; and congratulated the proud socio-economic development achievements that Lam Ha district has achieved. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee affirmed: Hanoi always considers Lam Ha district as the 31st administrative unit of the city. Each step of development of Lam Ha also brings great joy to the Party Committee, government and people of all walks of life in the capital. With the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country, the whole country for Hanoi", the city has and will continue to pay attention to supporting and accompanying Lam Ha district and Lam Dong province in all fields, for the goal of sustainable development of the two localities and the whole country in general.

The leaders of Lam Dong province also informed about the implementation of the policy of arranging local government at 2 levels, Lam Ha district has 16 communes and towns arranged into 6 new communes and all are attached with the name Lam Ha to preserve the cultural and historical identity of the locality. The leaders of Lam Dong province expressed their hope that the city authorities at all levels will continue to support the communes of Lam Ha district in the coming time.

Comrade Nguyen Van Phong believes that with the attention and direction of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, the communes of Lam Ha district after the reorganization will continue to develop in the coming time. Along with that, the cooperative relationship between Hanoi and Lam Dong province will become more and more substantial and effective, strongly promoting the development of the two localities.
