Educating the value of Central Highlands cultural heritage for high school students

On the morning of May 20, the Department of Education and Training organized a scientific workshop on Educating the cultural heritage values of the Central Highlands for high school students.

The Central Highlands has a rich indigenous culture with many tangible and intangible cultural heritages. Among them, many cultural values have been recognized as heritages such as: The Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space was recognized by UNESCO as an Oral Masterpiece and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (2005); epics of the Central Highlands ethnic groups were included in the list of national intangible cultural heritages (2014)...

At the workshop, delegates discussed the contents surrounding the topic such as:education of culture and ethnic arts in general schools; education of students on preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Central Highlands gong; education of the cultural heritage of the Central Highlands for primary school students; implementation of the policy of educating the value of cultural heritage for general school students...

In recent years, the education sector has focused on cultural heritage education for high school students according to the 2018 General Education Program; integrated through educational activities and different subjects (History, Geography, Literature, etc.). Thereby, it has created a healthy, comprehensive, open educational environment for students; helping students understand the traditional culture of the nation and love their homeland more.

The comments and discussions at the workshop will be received by the education sector and researched to be included in the education program at all levels for students in the province.
