I hope Fukuoka province continues to provide the best conditions for Vietnamese people.

On the afternoon of January 22, at the Presidential Palace,President Vo Van Thuong received Governor of Fukuoka Province Hattori Seitaro, who is on a working visit to Vietnam .

The President emphasized that Governor Hattori Seitaro's visit to Vietnam this time is the first visit by a Japanese provincial leader to Vietnam in the new year 2024; contributing to further deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the world between Vietnam and Japan.

Governor Hattori Seitaro said that Fukuoka Prefecture and Hanoi City have had effective cooperation and exchange programs. During this visit, the two sides will continue to discuss and implement new cooperation programs.

Governor Hattori Seitaro expressed his wish to further strengthen cooperation and exchange activities in various fields between Fukuoka and Hanoi; and hoped to receive support and facilitation from President Vo Van Thuong.

The President said that 2023 left important marks in the good cooperative relationship between the two countries with 500 exchange and cooperation activities. Following that achievement, in 2024, the two countries will continue to have practical and specific activities to implement the commitments of both sides in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world.

Appreciating the good cooperation results between Hanoi and Fukuoka Prefecture, contributing to strengthening and further tightening the friendship between the two countries, President Vo Van Thuong hoped that during this visit, the two sides would continue to have new and more effective cooperation programs.

The President asked Fukuoka Governor Hattori Seitaro to promote people-to-people exchange activities between Vietnam and Japan in general and between Hanoi and Fukuoka in particular, especially holiday tourism activities of Japanese students visiting Vietnam and Vietnamese students and youth visiting Japan. Thereby, contributing to building a solid foundation for the relationship between the two countries in the future.

Pleased to see that Fukuoka Prefecture always provides active support to Vietnamese people living and working in the province, the President hopes that Fukuoka Prefecture leaders will continue to provide the best conditions for Vietnamese people and continue to welcome more Vietnamese people to study, work and live in the future.
