A business wants to do tourism on U Bo peak, Quang Binh

On April 9, the Quang Binh Department of Finance confirmed that it had just sent a report to the Provincial People's Committee on the results of a survey and investment research on tourism projects in the province.

Accordingly, since the end of February 2025, a business has officially proposed investing in projects in Quang Binh.

Investment proposal on U Bo peak

One of these two tourism projects is the Thac Chuoi Lake and U Bo Peak tourist area, located in Viet Trung Farm town, Phu Dinh commune and Tan Trach commune (Bo Trach district).

Also according to the Department of Finance of Quang Binh and the People's Committee of Quang Binh province, after a process of joint review and research, the investor has now established a detailed boundary for the projects that this group proposed in Quang Binh.

However, this project is still facing some planning issues, so Quang Binh province is continuing to work with businesses to resolve them.

"The People's Committee of Quang Binh province has directed relevant departments and branches to closely coordinate with investors to complete the necessary legal basis before carrying out procedures to propose investment policies for projects to ensure compliance with regulations," said the leader of the Quang Binh Department of Finance.

Undiscovered attractions

U Bo Peak is the highest mountain peak and is located in the east of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. The mountain is located about 70km from Dong Hoi City, this mountain peak is an interesting place for eco-tourism.

At an altitude of nearly 1,000m above sea level, visitors can gaze out at Dong Hoi City shimmering through the mist.

Not only is it an ideal place to explore and stop in the summer, U Bo is also an interesting destination in all three remaining seasons because of the unique climate here. On autumn days, the clouds and fog are almost thick, feeling like you can touch them.

In addition to being compared to Sa Pa, U Bo mountain is also compared to Da Lat, because of its forested landscape and cool weather, somewhat chilly when reaching the top.

The special thing about U Bo is that you can feel the beauty of the mountain differently in each season of the year. On hot summer days, the air here is always cool. In the autumn, when climbing to the top of U Bo mountain, visitors can touch the mist and see the blue sky.

Winter can feel the coldness of this place no less than in Sa Pa. Many people have also witnessed frost covering the trees and flowers here.
