On the evening of August 6, Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company (Vietlott) - Ministry of Finance announced that the "huge" jackpot prize worth more than 228 billion VND had a winning ticket.
The lucky ticket that won Jackpot 1 of the Power 6/55 product has the following numbers: 22 – 34 – 44 – 46 – 54 – 55.
Responding to VTC News, a representative of Vietlott said that the owner of the lucky ticket owns a Viettel network subscription. After deducting personal income tax according to regulations, the owner of the ticket will actually receive nearly 206 billion VND.
Jackpot 2 prize worth nearly 5.2 billion VND had no winning ticket. Previously, Jackpot 2 prize of Power 6/55 product continuously "exploded".
On May 9, the jackpot prize of the Power 6/55 product worth more than 62 billion VND was also won. The lucky winning numbers were: 03 – 16 – 21 – 36 – 37 – 40. The lucky ticket owner is Ms. T. from Kien Giang.
In addition to the jackpot, Ms. T. also won Jackpot 2 and 48 first prizes, with a total prize value of more than 70 billion VND.
The winning ticket was issued at the point of sale in Hamlet Thu Nhat, Tay Yen Commune, An Bien District, Kien Giang Province (under the management of Vietlott Can Tho ).
Ms. T. is the first Vietlott player to win both Jackpot 1 and Jackpot 2 in the same drawing and is also the player who won the Jackpot with the largest value in Kien Giang.
Ms. T. said that she sometimes buys Vietlott lottery tickets to pray for luck. She researched and found out that there is a way to play bao 5 that is quite suitable for her income as well as increasing her chances of winning. Therefore, when the Jackpot prize was high, she chose to play bao 5 to participate in the prize and the unexpected happened. The lucky ticket brought Ms. T. the Jackpot 1, Jackpot 2 and 48 first prizes at the same time.
Ms. T. shared that she was surfing Facebook that day when she saw Vietlott announce on its fanpage that someone won the Jackpot in Kien Giang, right at the point of sale where she bought the ticket. Therefore, she checked her ticket. When she found out she won, Ms. T. couldn't sleep all night because she couldn't believe how lucky she was.
Ms. T. said that she will spend part of the money to help her family members as well as carry out social security work.
According to regulations, Ms. T. is obliged to pay personal income tax of 10% of the prize value and it is deducted immediately upon receiving the prize. The total amount Ms. T. received was more than 63 billion VND.
