It is unclear why the duck deflated. Hong Kong-based art studio AllRightsReserve, which organized the performance, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

"It's a pity. I thought I might see two rubber ducks at first," said Moon Lam, 72, a visitor.
"Double Ducks," an art installation of two giant rubber ducks, was unveiled Friday and is expected to float in the harbor for two weeks.
Hofman, who was inspired by world maps and rubber ducks to create his installations, embarked on a world tour starting in the Netherlands in 2007, stopping at ports from France to Brazil.
"We were hoping to see two ducks, but it was cute when one farted. Maybe it's because it's so hot in Hong Kong," said Tiffany Chen, 28, a tourist from the northern neighboring city of Shenzhen.
