The border guard working group in Nghe An supported Mong people to build a bridge across a stream that was swept away by flood.

On June 29, the Muong Long Working Group of Tri Le Border Guard Station coordinated with the people of Muong Long village, Tri Le commune to build a bridge across Huoi Ta stream on the only road leading to Muong Long village, which was swept away by floodwaters a month ago.

Muong Long village currently has 137 households, all of whom are Mong ethnic people. From the center of Tri Le commune, to reach this Mong village, one must travel on a 25 km long single-track road, of which there are only 13 km of asphalt road, more than 4 km of concrete road, the rest is dirt road with many steep, slippery, muddy slopes, and can only be traveled by motorbike.

Previously, on this route there was a wooden bridge across Huoi Ta stream for people to travel, but it was swept away by flood on May 29, 2025.

To help people travel more conveniently, on the morning of June 29, the Muong Long working group of Tri Le Border Guard Station coordinated with the people of Muong Long village, Tri Le commune to build a Huoi Ta people's bridge.

The bridge is made of wood, 10 meters long, 1.5 meters wide, and was built by 115 people, including border guards, soldiers, and local people. Completing the bridge was a great effort in complex terrain conditions, with difficult traffic, especially during the rainy season.

Head of Muong Long village, Mr. Va Ba Mai said: "The villagers would like to thank the officers and soldiers of Tri Le Border Post, Muong Long Working Group and other forces who have not been afraid of difficulties and worked hard to coordinate with the people to build a bridge for people across Huoi Ta stream.

Hopefully in the coming time, the people of Muong Long village will continue to receive more attention and help to gradually stabilize their lives, maintain security and order, and build the village to develop more and more.

Major Gia Ba Tha - Head of the Tri Le Border Guard Station's Reconnaissance Team in charge of the working group said: "Today is Sunday, we, the officers and soldiers, are very happy to join hands with the people of Muong Long village to build a bridge across Huoi Ta stream.

Although the roads are difficult and the work is hard, seeing the people united and actively contributing their efforts, all the fatigue disappears. The completion of the bridge not only helps people travel more safely and conveniently, but also shows the solidarity and unity between the Border Guard and the local people."
