Some transferred central agency headquarters will be used as workplaces and official residences.

Long An has 20 houses and land facilities of central agencies that have been and are in the process of being transferred to localities.

Of these, Tan An City has up to 14 facilities, including 13 working headquarters of agencies under the Public Security sector, which have been approved by the Provincial People's Committee for transfer to the locality according to Official Dispatch No. 2328/UBND-KTTC, dated March 7, 2025, sent to the Ministry of Public Security for approval by competent authorities. The total land area of these 13 facilities is 28,917.3m², the house area is 17,350.9m². In addition, there is also 1 headquarters of the General Statistics Office with a land area of 2,052m², house area of 1,570.3m².

The remaining localities have 6 facilities, including: Kien Tuong town has 2 facilities (old headquarters of Border Guard Command and Moc Hoa Meteorological Station); Can Duoc district has 1 facility (old district police headquarters); Thu Thua, Tan Thanh and Vinh Hung districts, each locality has 1 facility (old headquarters of Social Insurance agency).

Currently, some specialized departments of Long An Provincial Police are still working at the facilities on the transfer list. After the competent authority approves the plan, the Provincial Police will organize the relocation to the newly built headquarters or the existing headquarters and proceed with the handover in accordance with regulations.

Through a field survey, out of 13 facilities of the Public Security sector in Tan An City, 3 facilities are suitable for use as workplaces; 2 facilities are expected to be converted into public housing; 1 facility is seriously degraded and dangerous to use, and assets on the land will be liquidated; 1 facility is frequently flooded during heavy rains and is expected to be transferred for urban beautification; 6 facilities with small areas will be handed over to organizations with the function of managing and trading houses or the Provincial Center for Land Fund Development and Natural Resources - Environment Services to organize auctions.

In particular, the headquarters of the General Statistics Office and the headquarters of central agencies in districts and towns will be handed over to localities to receive and handle in accordance with current regulations.

The arrangement and transfer of public housing and land facilities contributes to improving the efficiency of public asset use, serving socio -economic development, urban beautification and creating land funds for auctions, increasing local budget revenue./.
