Luxury MPV Wey Gaoshan 7 from over 1 billion VND in China

The short-wheelbase version of the Wey 80, sold in China as the Wey Gaoshan 7, gets an upgrade with a more luxurious look and smart self-driving technology.

Wey, the high-end car brand of Great Wall Motor, has officially launched its latest MPV model, Gaoshan 7, with a price of 285,800 yuan (about 1.056 billion VND). This upgrade has a new appearance and is equipped with the Coffee Pilot Ultra intelligent driving assistance system.

The Gaoshan 7 showcases Wey's latest design language with a chrome-plated waterfall grille that features more vertical and closed slats than before, seamlessly flowing into the headlights. The car has prominent air vents with chrome trim.

The Gaoshan 7 measures 5,050mm long, 1,960mm wide and 1,900mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,085mm. The MPV is equipped with electric sliding doors and a floating roof design with dark pillars that match the glass.

Inside, the car has a cabin with dual 2.5K 15.6-inch screens, accompanied by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 26-inch head-up display (HUD). The interior is designed in a 2+2+3 style with 7 seats, with the second row having independent seats with electric adjustment, ventilation and heating. An optional zero-gravity massage seat package is also available for increased comfort.

The Gaoshan 7 is equipped with Great Wall Motor's Hi4 Performance Version intelligent four-wheel drive hybrid technology. This system combines range-extending, parallel hybrid and direct drive modes, delivering a total output of 452 horsepower.

The car is also equipped with the Coffee Pilot Ultra system, which supports autonomous driving (NOA) on highways and urban areas, along with smart parking assistance. The new Gaoshan 7 is equipped with a comprehensive sensor suite of 27 sensors.

Sensors include; 2 x 8 megapixel front cameras, 1 x 128 line LiDAR sensor, 3 x millimeter wave radars, 12 x ultrasonic radars, 4 x surround view cameras, 4 x side view cameras and 1 x rear view camera. All this data is processed by the Nvidia Orin X chip.

Additional premium features include a ceiling-mounted entertainment screen for rear passengers, a heated and cooled refrigerator, a folding table, wireless phone charging and an electronic gear selector.

The Gaoshan 7 is a short-wheelbase version of the same Wey luxury MPV platform. The company also has the Gaoshan 8 and 9 models with similar designs but with longer wheelbases. These models are expected to receive similar updates soon. In Vietnam, the Wey Gaoshan 9 is also being sold under the name Wey 80.
