Khanh Phuong is considered a singer who reminds many audiences of the 8X generation of youth. However, not many people know that the male singer is also a successful stock investor.
Recently, information has emerged that Khanh Phuong owns 46.65% of SJC shares of Song Da 1.01 Company and is currently earning more than 12 billion VND. Sharing with VTC News , the male singer said that he does not care about how much profit he makes when investing in stocks, but what he wants is to take control of the business.

"I invest not to make a few billion or a few dozen billion"
- Recently, the news that Khanh Phuong made a huge profit from stocks has attracted a lot of attention. When did you start to be interested in stocks?
I was one of the first people to enter the securities company to draw lots to place orders to buy securities. That was more than 20 years ago, investors at that time had to come early and draw lots to compete for the right to place orders.
When the stock bubble burst, I withdrew from the market and only watched from afar, not daring to invest much anymore.
- Why did you decide to switch to stocks while you were a singer?
The decision to invest in stocks came to me by chance. I have a group of friends who do business and the whole group invested in stocks in a company with very potential projects. We invested in stocks of this company to have control of the company.
At the time we invested, the company was having management problems, so some of its good projects were stalled. We decided to invest to have the right to intervene and promote the development of these projects.
- Stocks are a very harsh market. Have you ever encountered any "bitter fruits" when you first entered the investment field?
Of course! My biggest failure was when the “stock bubble” burst and the whole market crashed. At that time, I even invested my father’s money, so I suffered a pretty bitter defeat.
At that time, I realized that the stock market has many potential risks and is greatly affected by the mechanism, the management of the company and the psychology of investors. At that time, I withdrew from the market to observe and learn more.
Khanh Phuong joined the stock market very early.
- Is the information that Khanh Phuong is holding SJC shares of Song Da 1.01 with a market value of 16.7 billion VND and a temporary profit of about 12 billion VND correct? Is this his "peak" profit?
I am not a "surfing" investor, constantly buying and selling stocks to make a profit of a few billion or a few tens of billions.
My goal is to invest in companies that I feel have potential and appeal to many people.
Regarding Song Da (SJC) shares, we have been “collecting” them since they were only worth a few thousand VND/share until now. And before Tet, the number of shares I hold peaked at 17,000-18,000 VND/share. The number of shares I am holding is up to more than 2 million shares but I did not collect them to “push up the price” to make a profit.
I want to maintain long-term control of the company to turn it into a real stock, not a "virtual fever".
"I'm happy for Mai Phuong Thuy"
- In the entertainment industry, there are also many artists who participate in the stock market and are successful, typically Miss Mai Phuong Thuy. As an investor, what do you think about this famous investor?
I also heard about Mai Phuong Thuy that she is a very beautiful, intelligent and talented Miss. But honestly, I don't know specifically how she invests and how successful she is. I only heard that she is very successful, so I apologize for not being able to make any comments.
However, I feel happy for Mai Phuong Thuy. Because when I see artists also invest and succeed, I think that is something worth congratulating.
Singer Khanh Phuong.
- In reality, there are also many famous people who use their names to join hands with other units to "inflate" transaction prices. Are you worried that you will also be lumped together with these people?
It is true that the story of artists using their names and images to promote the reputation of companies is quite common. But my parents are both successful businessmen, I understand which companies have potential, heart and vision to invest in.
I know that there are many successful companies but they do business without heart, only focusing on immediate profits. I think this profit only comes for a moment, not necessarily for the long term.
When we invest, of course, the interests must come first, but that does not mean that we can disregard the interests of other investors. All the projects that I am involved in, I must feel that they are "clean" projects, I must feel that the business direction is humane and brings common benefits to society before I do it.
I never stand up to promote anything fake or negative.
- Born into a well-off family with a solid business career. So why do you still stick with music ?
To me, music is the most precious thing, the love of the audience for me is the most precious feeling, so whether my family is rich or poor, I will sing until I can't sing anymore.
- Thank you for sharing this!
