"Red Rain" reaches 500 billion VND mark fastest in history, breaks Tran Thanh's film record

Surpassing 500 billion VND after 15 days in theaters, "Red Rain" set an unprecedented record in the history of Vietnamese cinema.

According to Box Office Vietnam, on the evening of September 5, the movie "Red Rain" reached the revenue milestone of 500 billion VND after 15 days in theaters.

With this achievement, "Red Rain" became the fastest film in the history of Vietnamese cinema to reach 500 billion VND, breaking the previous record of "Mai". In 2024, Tran Thanh's work took more than 20 days to reach the 500 billion VND revenue mark.

On September 5, as of 8:30 p.m., director Dang Thai Huyen's work sold 206,000 tickets in 4,463 screenings, earning nearly 20 billion VND.

Although the holiday season has passed, the revenue growth of "Red Rain" is still stable, overwhelming many films ranked below on the chart such as "Get Rich with Ghosts 2": Diamond War, Ghost Bride...

Audiences and experts predict that in the next few days, "Red Rain" will soon surpass the record of "Mai" (551 billion VND) to become the highest-grossing Vietnamese film in the history of Vietnamese cinema.
