Many job opportunities
Bac Ninh province has planned the development of over 50 industrial zones, of which more than 20 are currently operational. Nearly 25,000 businesses are currently operating in the province, creating jobs for approximately 780,000 workers, with 552,000 of them working in industrial zones.

Bac Ninh is currently a strategic destination for many leading technology corporations in Asia such as Samsung Display, Amkor Technology, Goertek, Samsung Electronics, etc. The rapid development of high-tech fields such as robot manufacturing, electronic circuit boards, chips, and semiconductors is creating a dynamic technology ecosystem, leading to a large demand for highly skilled technical labor. These businesses not only need a large number of assembly line workers and technicians but also recruit many engineers and production line management experts. A multicultural, modern, and professional working environment, with many opportunities for overseas training or career advancement, is an attractive choice for young workers who want to learn and develop in a globalized environment.
While technical manufacturing requires in-depth specialized knowledge, the supporting (office) sector is fertile ground for those with comprehensive skills. From accounting, administration and human resources, customs declaration, procurement, to occupational safety and environmental (EHS) staff... all positions are in constant demand. The advantage of this sector is the ability to learn and switch careers quickly and flexibly between businesses. This is also a field with a clear career progression path, especially when employees equip themselves with soft skills and foreign language abilities to work with international partners.
Previously, most young people from Bac Ninh, after graduating from university, would seek employment opportunities in Hanoi or in other industrialized and service-oriented areas like Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Hai Phong. However, in recent years, many have chosen to return to their hometown to start their careers. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, born in 1998, got married in early 2025. Both she and her husband worked in Hanoi for a while after graduating from university, but later decided to return to their hometown of Bac Ninh to work in the Yen Phong Industrial Zone. “Although my salary in Bac Ninh is slightly lower than in Hanoi, working near home means we don’t need to rent accommodation, living expenses are reasonable, and transportation is much more convenient. Thanks to this, we not only save a considerable amount each month but also have more time for our family, making it easier to balance work and life,” Ms. Huong shared.
High competition - fosters personal progress.
The job market in Bac Ninh seems very open, but in reality, it's not easy for everyone, especially young graduates. In 2023, Pham Minh Duc (born in 2000 in Kinh Bac ward) graduated from Hanoi University of Technology. He applied for jobs at many companies in the province's industrial zones but still hadn't found a suitable job. Recognizing his weakness in foreign language skills, he dedicated about a year to diligently studying and improving his conversational English. He has now found a satisfactory job at a company in the Yen Phong Industrial Zone.

Businesses are constantly "thirsty" for high-quality human resources to meet development demands. Besides the provincial employment service centers, there are also several private companies specializing in human resources that recruit workers for businesses. According to data from the Bac Ninh Provincial Employment Service Center No. 2, in 2023, businesses needed highly skilled workers, accounting for approximately 15% of the total workforce they needed to recruit. By 2024, this number had increased to nearly 25%. In the first eight months of 2025, it is projected to reach 20%. Furthermore, the number of applicants for positions requiring high-skilled labor is also steadily increasing. Depending on the nature of the job, there are between 7 and 10 applications for each position. However, businesses still face many difficulties in recruitment because many candidates, while meeting professional qualifications, lack foreign language skills or other soft skills. In addition to specialized knowledge, supplementary knowledge such as office computer skills, financial management, teamwork skills, and especially foreign languages are requirements of most FDI enterprises when recruiting high-quality labor.
Increasingly fierce competition and high demands from businesses are the driving force behind personal advancement, requiring each worker to continuously improve themselves to adapt to the modern work environment. Ms. Hoang Thi Bien (born in 1997, from Thanh Hoa province ) used to be a seasonal worker in Bac Ninh. Recognizing the opportunity to improve her job position, she decided to learn Chinese and management skills. Thanks to her perseverance, she has secured a stable position at a large company in the Tien Son Industrial Park. Currently, she is continuing her studies by transferring from college to university. "I'm striving to complete my qualifications to be more proactive in my work," Ms. Bien shared.
Ms. Mong Thi Hong Anh (born in 2000, from Thai Nguyen province) graduated from Hanoi Foreign Trade University in 2022 and started working at several FDI enterprises in Van Trung Industrial Park and Quang Chau Industrial Park, primarily as an interpreter. Although fluent in both English and Korean, she proactively pursued further training in human resource management. Currently, she holds a solid position as an operations manager in a South Korean-invested FDI enterprise.
With its thriving business ecosystem and numerous favorable labor and employment policies, Bac Ninh has been, is, and will continue to be an attractive destination for high-quality labor. This will also contribute to achieving the province's goal of improving the quality of its human resources.
