Landslide on positive slope at km13+250 P on La Son - Tuy Loan route

Due to the influence of storm No. 1, on the morning of June 12, Hue City experienced very heavy rainfall. Specifically, from the night of June 11 to the morning of June 12, the Bach Ma peak area (Phu Loc district) recorded the highest rainfall in the country with more than 563 mm. Some other places in the area also experienced very heavy rainfall such as Khe Mo Rang Forest Ranger Station (more than 519 mm), Bach Ma National Park (more than 434 mm)...

Heavy rain caused localized flooding in some areas in Hue City. In particular, heavy rain caused landslides on the road leading to La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway, the section passing through Huong Phu Commune, Phu Loc District.

To ensure safety, the People's Committee of Phu Loc district said that this road has been closed to traffic. Authorities are waiting for the rain to subside and will urgently handle the landslide to clear the road as soon as possible.

Mr. Dang Van Hoa, Chief of Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue (PCTT&TKCN) of Hue City, informed that there were many places with very heavy rain, with some places measuring more than 100mm. "The total rainfall during this period is forecast to be from 70-200mm, some places over 300mm. During the day and night of June 13, Hue will still have rain, some places will have moderate and heavy rain. From June 14, the rain will decrease rapidly and end," said Mr. Hoa.

According to Mr. Hoa, the PCTT&TKCN Command Board has issued an official dispatch requesting localities to be on standby with the motto "four on-site", ready to mobilize forces and equipment to rescue and evacuate people when dangerous situations occur. All ships operating at sea have also been requested to anchor and move to safe shelters.
