The Miss Universe 2025 finals took place in Thailand on the morning of November 21, but the results were constantly controversial, leading to a series of speculations about the transparency of the contest. In the top 5, Ahtisa Manalo was a favorite contestant thanks to her beautiful body, bright face and ability to communicate clearly.
In this year's season, the 28-year-old beauty also won the Beyond the Crown (Outstanding Charity Project) award thanks to the high number of votes, surpassing representatives from Vietnam and Paraguay.
Ahtisa Manalo was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2025 in May, after participating in three national competitions and five beauty pageants.
Previously, she represented the Philippines at Miss International 2018 and won the first runner-up title. In 2024, she participated in Miss Cosmo and entered the top 10. Participating in Miss Universe is considered a milestone that helps the beauty fulfill the biggest dream of her career.
Standing at 1.73m tall with a charming figure, Ahtisa graduated with a major in accounting and has been pursuing this field for many years. During the final night, Ahtisa shared that she grew up in a poor family and faced many hardships. In the question and answer session, when asked: “As a global ambassador or a citizen, what would you contribute to humanity?”, Ahtisa replied: “I want to be a source of hope for everyone. My childhood was very difficult and I started participating in beauty pageants at a young age to help my family. I am here on the Miss Universe stage today because I have overcome all obstacles with perseverance and hard work.”
When asked what she would do to empower young women if she became a beauty queen, Ahtisa spoke about her work with the non-profit organization Alon Akademie, where she supports educational opportunities for disadvantaged children: “I want to continue working with Alon Akademie on a larger platform like Miss Universe, to ensure that every child from a low-income family has the same opportunities as everyone else.”
Although she only finished as the 3rd runner-up, Ahtisa Manalo was still widely honored as “Miss in the hearts of fans”. The reason comes from her consistency in most rounds, outstanding appearance, solid stage skills, calm demeanor and strong inspirational story.
