In 2023, Vietnam will have 11 universities ranked in the world

According to the Ministry of Education and Training , the 2022-2023 school year is the first year to implement the Program for developing the Quality Assurance and Accreditation System (QAAS) for universities and pedagogical colleges in the period 2022-2030.

In addition to reviewing and building institutions as mentioned above, the management of universityeducation quality assessment (QA) has achieved some results.

As of July 31, 2023, nationwide, there were 1,263 training programs at all levels of higher education that were accredited and certified, of which 864 training programs were accredited by domestic organizations using domestic standards and 399 training programs were accredited by foreign accreditation organizations;

There are 183 higher education institutions that have achieved quality accreditation, of which 9 have been accredited by foreign accreditation organizations; there are 11 pedagogical colleges and 4 preschool education programs at the pedagogical college level.

Also according to the Ministry of Education and Training, in 2023, 11 Vietnamese universities will be ranked in the QS Asia University Rankings 2023: Ton Duc Thang University (ranked 138th in Asia, 29th in ASEAN); Duy Tan University (ranked 145th in Asia, 32nd in ASEAN);

Hanoi National University (ranked 162nd in Asia, 36th in ASEAN); Ho Chi Minh City National University (ranked 167th in Asia, 37th in ASEAN);

Hanoi University of Science and Technology (ranked 248th in Asia, 54th in ASEAN); Hue University in group 351-400; Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics in group 401-450; Da Nang University in group 501-550; Can Tho University in group 551-600; Hanoi University of Education in group 551-600; Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry in group 651-7012;

There are 9 Vietnamese representatives in the THE (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023) rankings, including: Hanoi National University; Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, Duy Tan University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, National Economics University, FPT University, Ton Duc Thang University all in the top 601-800. Phenikaa University, Ho Chi Minh City Open University.
