9th grade male student dies at international school swimming pool

Speaking to reporters, Ms. Pham Thi Le Hang, Head of the Departmentof Education and Training of Ha Dong District (Hanoi), said that a 9th grade male student had just died while swimming in a school swimming pool.

According to the Head of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Dong District, the incident occurred on the afternoon of August 22, at the swimming pool of Vietnam International School (located in Duong Noi Urban Area, Ha Dong District). The 9th grade male student was found dead while swimming in the swimming pool located on the campus of this school.

"After this heartbreaking incident, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Dong district directly visited, shared and encouraged the child's family. At the same time, we also coordinated with the investigation agency to clarify the cause of the heartbreaking incident," said Ms. Pham Thi Le Hang.

Meanwhile, Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen, Chief of Ha Dong District Police, said: "On the afternoon of August 22, we received the case of a 9th grade male student who died at Vietnam International High School. We are investigating the cause of the incident."

A representative of Vietnam International School said that the school is coordinating with the police to investigate the incident and focusing on funeral arrangements with the family.

The cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified.
